In Japan, hotel policies regarding guests, whether they’re Delivery Health, Escort Services or other, vary wildly. This guide helps you navigate the situation and find a hotel that suits your needs. Or, if you found this while already being in one: find out whether you can use such services or not, without awkwardly asking the reception.
First of all, there’s three main distinctions. Business hotels, love hotels and luxury hotels. Since luxury hotels (think Hyatt and similar) generally won’t ask questions, and love hotels are purpose built just for this sort of thing, this guide will mainly cover business hotels, but also quickly cover using love hotels for longer stays.
How can you find a hotel in Japan that allows you to bring a visitor?
There are two widely used websites, both are in Japanese. Both can easily be translated using Google Translate.
The more popular of the two is called deriheruhotel.com. Using the website is relatively simple. On the start page, simply select your preferred location. For example, Tokyo, or even a place within Tokyo such as Shinjuku, Akihabara (Chiyoda Ward) or Asakusa (Taitung District) – links added for convenience.

The page lists the hotel name along with three relevant columns: how many people have successfully called such services to their room (呼べる), how many reception declined or otherwise prevented from bringing a guest into the room (呼べない), and how many reports were successful (呼べる) within the last 12 months, since policies may change over time.

By clicking on a hotel, you will find the detail reports. Those reports often include the room type and an explanation. For the hotel above (Washington Hotel in Shinjuku, well-known for allowing guests to have visitors in their rooms), for instance, the comments often say that it is best to meet the visitor in front of the convenience store inside the building, because you need a keycard to use the elevator.
The second website is Ranking Deli‘s hotel section, which requires a VPN, or you might not be able to access it outside of Japan. Navigation is very similar to the previous website.
How can you find out if your hotel allows having visitors?

The main difficulty is that those websites are in Japanese, hence you will find that the hotel names are also in Japanese. However, if you used a booking platform in your own language, you probably only know the name of the hotel in Latin characters.
Fortunately, Google Maps provides the Japanese name of most hotels when searching for them. Note: this only applies to Google Maps, not to Google results.
Using the search function on the website itself appears to work pretty badly. Using Google with a site filter works better, hence searching for site: and then the hotel name. So for instance, in this case, search in Google for

Recommended Hotels
The following is a list of hotels in Tokyo, that were tested by the Yorusanpo staff, to which we have successfuly brought a Delivery Health girl to our room without problems:
Washington Hotel Shinjuku
Last tested: Q1, 2026
Book a double room because single rooms are on dedicated floors with only single rooms. Meet the girl at the convenience store inside the building. Don’t forget to tell the delivery health operator that you would like to meet the girl there. The elevator requires a key card. Unlike some of the older comments claimed, the elevator did not stop on the reception floor.
Granbell Shinjuku
Last tested: Q1, 2026
The Granbell is a former love hotel. The elevator does not require key cards. The girl can go straight to the room. If it’s too late in the evening however, she won’t be able to use the back entrance of the building. That’s not a big deal though. This is the most uncomplicated pick. Some rooms feature a glass-wall bathroom.
Should you use your own hotel for Delivery Health
We generally recommend against it. Love hotels are cheap and plenty, and you can leave them a mess. The cheapest love hotel in Shinjuku is ca. 3000 yen for 3 hours. Check out our related guides:
